What is a molybdenum crucible?

Molybdenum crucible is produced by using Mo-1 molybdenum powder, and the use temperature is 1100℃~1700℃. It is mainly used in metallurgical industry, rare earth industry, monocrystalline silicon, solar energy, artificial crystal and mechanical processing etc.

Application

Since the melting point of molybdenum is as high as 2610℃, molybdenum crucible is widely used as the core vessel in industrial furnaces such as sapphire single crystal growth furnace, quartz glass melting furnace, rare earth smelting furnace, etc. The working temperature environment is generally above 2000℃. Especially for sapphire single crystal growth furnace, the molybdenum crucible with the characteristics of high purity, high density, no internal crack, precise size, smooth inner and outer wall, etc. plays a key role in the success rate of seeding crystal, quality control of pulling crystal, de-crystal sticking pot and service life in the process of sapphire crystal growth.
