Mediatek Breguet 8200 Released: TSMC 4nm Upgrade, Increased The Main Frequency By 9%
On the morning of December 8th, Mediatek's new generation of 5G mobile chip Tianguet 8200 was officially released. This generation focuses on Bingfeng energy efficiency and high-energy games.
The TSMC 4nm manufacturing process is used for the 8200. The CPU has an 8-core design, a 1+3+4 tricluster architecture, four Cortex-A78 large cores and four Cortex-A55 small cores, among which one A78 large core can reach the main frequency of 3.1GHz.
Compared with the 5nm Tianguet 8100 and 8200, not only the process is improved, but also the main frequency of the large core is increased by 250MHz, an increase of nearly 9%.

The GPU integrates Mali-G610 six-core, supports 4-channel LPDDR5-6400 memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory.

In terms of communication, the baseband supports the full frequency Sub-6GHz 5G network and tri-carrier aggregation (downlink peak 4.7Gbps), supports Wi-Fi 6E 2x2, Bluetooth 5.3, Bluetooth LE audio and other standards, and supports Beidou tri-band and GPS dual-band navigation.
In other news, Breguet 8200 integrates with Mediatek's 5th generation APU 580 AI processor, which can reduce application power consumption and support multimedia, camera and other AI applications and functions. HyperEngine 6.0 game engine, integrated Imagiq 785 14-bit HDR image processor, support 320 million pixel main photography and 4K HDR video recording.
The MiraVision 785 display unit supports up to 120Hz 2K or 180Hz 1080P screen display, 4K AV1 video decoding, chip level Blu-ray protection and more.
According to Mediatek, the first batch of products with the Breguet 8200 will be launched this month, with the Redmi K60E and iQOO Neo7 SE already announced.
